Gujarat food fest evokes good response in Vijayawada

Vijayawada: Gujarat Tourism organised a vibrant Gujarati Food Festival in Vijayawada, the city often described as the commercial, cultural and educational capital of Andhra Pradesh, celebrating the rich and diverse essence of Gujarati cuisine.
Organised at Hotel GRT Grand, the food festival witnessed an enthusiastic gathering of esteemed guests. The food festival was a celebration of authentic Gujarati culinary treasures. The venue was decorated with vibrant showcases of Gujarati food culture, setting the stage for a flavourful exploration. The guests savoured various traditional Gujarati snacks, including Mini Handvo, Patra, Khandvi, Dhokla, Khaman, Fulwadi, Batata Vada and Methi Na Gota.
The main course presented a delightful spread, showcasing the diverse textures and tastes of Gujarat’s rich culinary heritage. Guests indulged in mouthwatering dishes including Kobij no Sambharo, Fulka Roti, Bajri no Rotlo, Sev Tameta nu Shak, Lasaniya Bataka, Ringan no Olo, Val, Mag ni Lachko Dal, Bhareli Dungali nu Shak, Gujarati Kadhi, Rajwadi Kadhi, Bhat, Vagharelo Rotlo, Kachumbar, Papad, Masala Chaas, and Athanu, and more.
Gujarat is famous for sweet dishes and the food festival showcased a whole assortment of delectable traditional Gujarati desserts such as Churma na Ladu, Lapsi, Anguri Basudi, Rajbhog Matho, Dudhi no Halvo, and Sukhdi. Each sweet indulgence presented the essence of the state’s rich sweet traditions.The spectacular festivity was complemented by captivating videos illustrating the intricate process and care invested in crafting each dish. This visual treat transported the esteemed guests through Gujarat’s culinary history.
